The Hair Bros

 FAQs

A few things to know ahead of your appointment with us.

If you have any further questions, drop us an email!

  • Our appointments are released 3 months in advance, every day from Tuesday - Saturday at 9am.

All availability will appear on the website. Cancelations will often appear on the bookings page closer to the time of the appointment, so it is always worth keeping an eye out!

Last minute appointments are occasionally added with team members. We will often do a story on instagram when this happens.

As we are still a fairly small team, please accept our apologies that it isn’t always the easiest to get an appointment with us. What we can assure you is that will always do our best to accommodate you wherever possible and of course give you the best hair of our abilities.

  • Our philosophy stems from seeing your hair the same way as you would when you look in the mirror most mornings.

We believe a great haircut should look beautiful left natural Monday - Friday, or blowdried on the weekend.

Therefore we always encourage you to try coming in with your hair natural, even if you blow dry it most days.

It is always good to push yourself out of your comfort zone. You never know you may even begin to love your hair natural, with the right haircut, some product recommendations and styling tips to help guide you.

With curly hair, feel free to add a little product, just maybe not quite as much as you would on a normal day.

  • Colour and cut appointments are required to be booked separately. We can’t always guarantee that both appointments will be available on the same day at aligning times.

If two appointments do become available on the same day, we usually recommend booking your haircut before colour.

This ensures that our colourists know exactly where to apply colour to compliment your hair cut.

One thing to make sure of is that your colour appointment is no sooner than 1 hour after your hair-cut appointment begins.

  • We have some descriptions next to each colour service on our booking page.

Ultimately timing is the most important thing when it comes to a booking.

Should you book in for the wrong appointment, one of our colour specialists can tweak the service that you have booked in for and make sure that you receive the correct service for your hair.

If you are still unsure and would like to send us some pictures please email - hello@thehairbros.com and one of our team will be more than happy to advise you further.

  • We kindly request that you let us know if you can’t make your appointment as early as possible.

Last minute cancellations can leave the team missing out on a potential client and likewise, a client who would have loved to have your appointment!

Our policy is as follows -

CANCELLATIONS: You agree to our Cancellation terms which reserves us the right to charge you a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of your appointment. Please Cancel Appointments no less than: 48 Hours before.

  • If you are a new client or an existing client that has not had a colour service with us for 6 months.

  • Yes, you can. Each client that has been in the salon for a hair cut in the last 6 months is entitled to a fringe trim.

After your appointment drop us an email and we will send you our private fringe trim booking link.

  • We want to see your hair as you would most mornings.

It is really difficult for hairdressers to identify any differences from one head of hair to the next when hair is soaking wet. We wanted to see all of the nuances and kinks.

We prefer just to damp hair down wherever necessary. Always keeping in mind how the hair will sit naturally.

As we tailor every appointment to each clients needs at times we will cut hair completely dry, sometimes slightly damp and even soaking wet.

With whatever method we opt to use on your hair, our aim is to help you love your natural hair as much as your blow dried hair.

  • There is no need to be nervous or traumatised by the terrible layers of the past. A crucial part of our process is the consultation. For us every great hairstyle starts and ends here. Each member of our team will carefully listen to you and work with you to guide you to the best hairstyle suited to you.

Remember that you can gradually build on shape each time you come in. It is sometimes nice to start with just a very small narrow section of hair ensuring that no thickness is sacrificed for shape.

  • Absolutely, we will always finish hair to your taste. Appointments are frequently finished with either a blow dry or sprayed down with water and diffused.

During the appointment, all of our team will share their best styling tips for your hair at home.

Colour appointments are also always dried off and finished by one of our team for no extra cost.

  • In total honesty this really depends on every individual colour and each persons taste.

Make sure you ask your colourists recommendation on when to come in for your next appointment.
