Our Ethos

We like to think that a brilliant haircut is not too dissimilar to painting or art. You really have to feel and get your hands in the hair.

In recent times, so often hair is over styled in the salon, and an unrealistic expectation to recreate that - is put on you. We can't imagine many working women or stressed students having more than 5 minutes to spend on their hair, let alone the luxury of an entire 40 minutes to perfectly blow-dry or style it every morning.

We believe a great cut should look alluring when rough dried, air dried with a little product, scrunched in or tied up with some romantic tendrils falling out framing your face. There is time and a place for a blow-dry, of course there is, but you should be just as confident in wearing your hair naturally as styled. It is a cliché to say that less is more but with a great hair cut it often is.

On the principle that a good haircut “evolves” over time, we build our belief that every one of our clients should enjoy the different phases and lengths their hair goes through.

It is the personal journey your haircut takes you on, all the little movements, the subtle flicks and the gentle bends you discover between the moment we place our scissors down to the side, until the next time our comb is picked up again.

We want you to love your hair at home as much as you do in the salon.
